Lesley Croxford was born in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex and now lives in Colchester.

In 1979 she completed a two year foundation course at Colchester Art School and a three year course in Painting and Printmaking at Wimbledon school of Art where she achieved a First Class Honours degree.

During her time at Wimbledon she was chosen to exhibit twice at the Royal Academy in the Stowells Trophy exhibition, receiving an award for an etching and was also chosen to represent Wimbledon School of Art for the New Contemporaries Exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, The Mall, London.  

She has exhibited at the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank London and was also selected to take part in the East Anglian Artists group exhibition in Kettles Yard, Cambridge.  She has also exhibited extensively throughout East Anglia
